Lucky Driver Requirements (Eligibility Criteria)
In order to become a driver with Lucky To Go, you need to meet the following requirements:
- Age: 19 or older
- B.C. class 1, 2 or 4 commercial driver’s licence
- Legally allowed to drive and work in British Columbia
- Must have a vehicle less than 9 yers and a smartphone

- A copy of your valid BC driver’s licence
- A criminal record check with vulnerability sector taken within the last 90 days
- A car commercial vehicle inspection report done within the last 30 days
- Your car’s registration number
- A commercial driving record (also known as a driver’s abstract)
- A copy of your current personal insurance certificate
- A driver profile photo

How to Register as a Lucky Driver
The driver registration process with Lucky To Go is quite easy and straightforward. In order to register as a driver, just follow these steps:
Step 1: Download the app
Download the Lucky Driver app from the respective App Store on your smartphone. Install the app on your phone.
Open the app. Click on continue to start your registration.
Step 2: Upload your documents
Enter your phone number to get started. An OTP will be sent to your phone number. Confirm the same.
Now, provide your information, including your name, email id, vehicle details (type, vehicle number, ownership status, make, model, color, make year, no. of doors, no. of seat belts. etc.). Click on continue.
On the next page, upload your documents, including the driver’s image, information (licence number, expiry, etc.), criminal record check, driving record, vehicle images, vehicle registration & insurance, vehicle commercial inspection, work status (work permit, citizenship details, etc.). Once done, click the submit button to submit your documents for verification.

Step 3: Account activation
Wait for our team to review & verify your application. Once it’s approved, you can activate your account and start working as a Lucky driver!
Make sure you have all the information and documents available when you are starting to sign up. The screening process may take up to a few hours (sometimes days), and you’ll be notified by our team once it’s done.
Once you’re approved as a driver with Lucky to Go, the team will send you the following three documents:
- LTG Driver Approval
- LTG Vehicle Approval
- TNS Blanket Certificate (Drivers need to add vehicle information under LTG-Insurance)
The next step is to sign the Service Level Agreement (driver contract), which will be communicated with you separately. General terms in the driver contract are as follows:
- You are not a Lucky To Go employee and, therefore, will not be liable to get employee benefits like fixed pay/salary, paid leave, vacation, etc.
- Expenses (like fuel, repairs, etc.) to be borne by driver only
- You have to pay your taxes
- You’ll be responsible for any damage to your vehicle
In short, as a Lucky driver, you’ll be working as an independent service provider and will be free to work as and when you want. After the contract is signed, you’ll be provided training on how to use the Driver app and how to earn more while riding with Lucky To Go.

Once you have registered and been approved to work as a Lucky To Go driver, you can start taking riders. Here’s how.
Just open the app and be online to let the app/admin know that you are available to take rides. The app will automatically send you a notification whenever there is a booking request near your location. Go to the pick-up location (restaurant) and wait for the food to prepare. Once the food is ready, take it from the restaurant staff. Now, go to the customer location shown in the app, deliver the food, and receive the payment.
Is there Insurance for Lucky drivers?
Well, the drivers are expected to have their own car insurance and personal insurance. However, Lucky To Go provides TNS blanket insurance coverage of upto 5 million dollars to its drivers and passengers while they are on a trip.
