With Canada Day just around the corner, your festive activities and excitement might just double knowing that now you’ll have an easy option to book a ride from your phone. As the LuckyToGo ride-hailing service goes live from July 1, you can use the app to book a ride from one destination to another within the city limits.
All the details about the LuckyToGo ride-hailing and ride-sharing services, including how it works, is available on the official website. You can also visit the website to download the LuckyToGo app in order to get an idea of what the service is all about.
LuckyToGo will be Kelowna’s first ride-share company. Wondering what that means?
Well, as a customer you’ll be able to book a private ride through the LuckyToGo app whenever you want to visit from one place to another. Rideshare means that you’ll be sharing the ride with the driver. Depending on the car type and maximum seating capacity, up to 4 or 6 people, excluding the driver, can ride at a time. The app lets you choose a car type from 4-seater, 6-seater, and pool options.
To ensure the safety and convenience of the riders, LuckyToGo will be taking multiple measures such as the facility to share the ride status, emergency help, alerts, etc.
LuckyToGo plans to launch its ride-sharing services in the following cities in the coming days:
Victoria, Nanaimo, Kamloops, Kelowna, Comox Valley, Campbell River, Duncan, Burnaby, Coquitlam, Delta, Langley, Maple Ridge, New Westminster, Vancouver, North Vancouver, Richmond, West Vancouver, White Rock, among others.
Ever since we acquired our ride-sharing license from the BC Transportation Board on April 22, we have been working constantly on setting up the infrastructure and getting the service started as soon as possible. We are also in partnership talks with the BC Taxi Association to allow their taxis to be hired through the LuckyToGo app.
Also, we are inviting applications from prospective drivers who would like to join our service and earn handsome money while riding for us. It’s an independent job and you’ll be your own boss. You can work as long as you want and provide services as you find convenient. To be a driver with LuckyToGo, you must hold a Class 4 drivers license, valid documents and a four-wheeler (with four doors) less than nine years old.
