As the Lucky To Go ride-hailing service goes live from July 1, you can use the app to book a ride from one destination to another within the city limits.
All the details about the LuckyToGo ride-hailing and ride-sharing services, including how it works, is available on the website. You can also visit the website to download the Lucky To Go app in order to get an idea of what the service is all about.
Lucky To Go will be Kelowna’s first ride-share service. Wondering what that means?
Well, as a customer you’ll be able to book a private ride through the Lucky To Go app whenever you want to visit from one place to another. Rideshare means that you’ll be sharing the ride with the driver. Depending on the car type and maximum seating capacity, up to 4 or 6 people, excluding the driver, can ride at a time. The app lets you choose a car type from 4-seater, 6-seater, and pool options.
To ensure the safety and convenience of the riders, Lucky To Go has introduced multiple features like the option to share your ride status, enable emergency help and alerts, etc.
Lucky To Go plans to launch its ride-sharing services in the following cities in the coming months:
Victoria, Nanaimo, Kamloops, Kelowna, Comox Valley, Campbell River, Duncan, Burnaby, Coquitlam, Delta, Langley, Maple Ridge, New Westminster, Vancouver, North Vancouver, Richmond, West Vancouver, White Rock, among others.
Ever since we acquired our ride-sharing licence from B.C.’s Passenger Transportation Board on April 22, we have worked relentlessly towards setting up the required technological infrastructure to bring the best level of service to town.
Also, we are inviting applications from prospective drivers who would like to join our service and earn flexibly. It’s essentially gig work- you work at your own time and are your own boss. To be a driver with Lucky To Go, you must hold a Class 4 drivers licence, valid documents and a four-wheeler (with four doors) less than nine years old.
